Description
The Internal Revenue Service/The Office of Information Technology intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Kadix Systems LLC for continued maintenance support and management services for the Internal Revenue Service?s Videoconference Program. This is 100% set aside for small business. The support and services are necessary to provide fully managed subscription video service (functionality) for the 90 IRS sites with a potential for up to 300 sites. The general description of the location is a conference room containing video conferencing equipment in a room size of approximately 30 ft by 30 ft. The communication line is typically and Integrated Service Digital Network Primary Rate Interface (ISDN PRI) Connection or it could be an Internet Protocol (IP) connection. In all locations, the point of demarcation is in the video room. Communication lines for future installations will be the responsibility of the Government. As part of the service, the IRS also requires that it encompass the sharing of information from Local Area networks, databases, laptop computers, intranets and/or the web in a very user-friendly manner. As needed, the subscription service provider (vendor) agrees to de-install any outdated equipment, install new equipment, train, maintain, provide technical refresher courses, and own/manage the hardware and software. The contractor is responsible for all relocation/moves of equipment. Finally, the contractor will advise and offer the IRS new software and hardware technology enhancements that can better meet IRS business needs. All responsible sources that can provide the above requirement must demonstrate their capabilities in writing no later than 7 days after the published date of this announcement. No written solicitation will be issued for this requirement; therefore, such request for solicitations will be considered non-responsive. Offerors may submit capabilities by facsimile, mail or e-mail. Responses over 10 pages in total will not be accepted by fax. All questions must be submitted in writing and received by facsimile to Kathy Rittenhouse, Contract Specialist 202/283-4429 or at the following e-mail address: Kathy.C.Rittenhouse@IRS.Gov or mail must be delivered to: Internal Revenue Service,: Kathy Rittenhouse OS:A::P:I:A:B, 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
