Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Mid-Continent Ecology Division, 6201 Congdon Boulevard, Duluth, Minnesota, requires an Annex Emergency Exit Walkway. The General Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, hardware, and documentation necessary to complete the project. The project consists of installation of a new crushed limestone walkway to include 6 in. wide concrete edge restraint on one side and extending to the building on the other. The new walkway will connect to existing concrete door landings and be separated by isolation joints as designated on drawings. Where the walkway extends beyond the building, concrete edge restraint shall be included on both sides. This project also has Alternate 1 for Replacement of specified 4 in. Crushed Limestone walkway surface with Pervious Pavers and Alternate 2 for Extension of Chainlink Fence 25 ft. beyond east end of building. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Contract award will be made using best value methodology. Two evaluation factors will be used: Past Performance and Price. The evaluation factors will be approximately equal in importance. The anticipated contract performance period is 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated price of the work is under $120,000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. All prospective offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system in order to be eligible for contract award. The solicitation with specifications, drawings, and site visit information, will be released through the internet on EPA?s home page at www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd/. The anticipated solicitation release date is approximately 15 calendar days after the electronic posting date of this notice. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided.
