- The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for replacement bushings on power transformer. Power Transformer KZ1A1, 2 & 3, The new bushings required are to be an acceptable replacement bushing for the present bushings in service in the transformer. Manufacturer???s drawings, along with a complete description of the bushings shall be included with the price quote to Western. All measurements on the manufacturer???s drawings are required in inches. The new bushings accepted by Western must be filled with a suitable, non-hazardous insulation medium. A PCB free certification document is required with the bushings. The new bushings will be installed in a 1960s vintage, 3 phase, General Electric auto transformer. The substation???s elevation is 6600 feet. The information listed below describes the old bushings. PLEASE NOTE: The OEM installed bushings rated at 115kV in place of the 138kV bushings. Indicate which voltage class is offered as a replacement. The nominal system voltages are: 230/138/13.8kV. Qty: 3 ea Bushing, rated 146kV maximum, 1600 ampere, 3 ea Bushing, rated 88kV maximum, 1600 ampere, 1 ea Bushing, rated 16kV maximum, 400 ampere. Provide Delivery Schedule. The solicitation is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 03 Feb 06 at the following site: http://e-center.doe.gov/.
