Description
The Cancer Etiology Branch Branch, Division of Cancer Biology, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, is re-competing a contract for information development in the areas of environmental and occupational cancer. The NCI is seeking a qualified, responsible firm to provide the support necessary to perform the three tasks required under the contract. TASK I is for support of Chemical Selection and Nomination Process and requires two chemical class studies per year and the preparation of reports for review by the Chemical Selection Planning Group and the Chemical Selection Working Group. The contractor shall prepare up to 30 Summary Sheets, using NCI guidelines, and shall support the nomination of approximately 30 chemicals to the DCB short-term testing program. TASK II is for Support of Chemical Information Needs of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). The contractor (professional chemist or toxicologist) shall provide support for 15 IARC working group meetings. TASK III is for Special Studies which includes the updating of the NCI Bioassay Report Summary Handbook, responding to ad hoc chemical inquiries, and other related activities. It is anticipated that a single cost-reimbursement, completion type contract will be awarded for a tree-year base period and two year award term performance base. The solicitation is scheduled for electronic release on or about February 2, 2006. The proposals will be due on March 6, 2006. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS #518210 with a size of $21.0 Million.
