- Description
- The contractor is to build, test, and deliver consumable packs to be used with the Joint Biological Point Detection System. There are nine (9) distinct configurations of the JBPDS consumable packs: Liquid Consumable Mission Pack, Sample Bottle Consu mable Pack, Sample Vial Consumable Pack, Dry Collection Kit (DC Kit) Consumable Pack, Bulk PBS, Bulk DI Water, Bulk Detergent, Bulk Sample Bottles, Trainer Pack. The contractor is required to build and test the consumable packs in accordance with the Performance Specification, EA-PRF-C-2268 (dated Jan-2006). This is a 5-year effort, but the Government is only obligated to place an order for the minimum amount state d in Section B of the RFP within one year of contract award. All work is unclassified. This procurement request requires the contractor to handle chemicals (Triton X-100, Phosphate Buffered Saline, and Contrad 70) and appropriate precautions must be taken. As far as can be determined, known or suspect carcinogens are not involved.
