Description
This announcement is being posted on FedBizzOpps on behalf of a subcontractor for the Future Combat Systems (FCS) program. THIS IS NOT AN ANNOUCEMENT OF A CURRENT OR FUTURE PROCUREMENT ACTION OF THE US ARMY OR ANY OTHER US GOVERNMENT AGENCY. Procurement Activity for Manned and Unmanned Ground Vehicle Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sensors In support of the System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase of the Future Combat Systems (FCS) program, Raytheon Company, the Ground Sensor Integrator (GSI) as a subcontractor to The Boeing Company, as Lead Systems Integrator (LSI), is announcing to businesses and academia the beginning of procurement activities and its intent to issue a solicitation for proposals for the Emitter Mapping System (EMS). The EMS performs mapping of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) systems. It is anticipated that the EMS will consist of an electronics unit subsystem (called the EMS Signal Processing Unit (SPU)), a multi-channel antenna subsystem, and EMS software to be installed on selected FCS ground vehicles. Solicitations will be accomplished via issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP). Potential offerors will be provided with a draft RFP in March 2006. Details may be found at URL: http://www.boeing.com/defense-space/ic/fcs/bia. All interested parties' information must be received at the email address below not later than 8 February 2006. Failure to respond by this date will result in the exclusion of your organization from being considered for the Interested Parties list and the refore, ineligible to receive a draft RFP. Information received by other means may not be entered into the review cycle and therefore may not be considered for further participation in the procurement of these sensors. Neither Raytheon nor Boeing will be held responsible for the handling of submissions received in other forms other than email.
