- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to extend Contract N00019-01-C-0161 with DRS Data Imaging Systems, Inc. 138 Bauer Drive, Oakland, NJ 07436 for a sixth year of performance in order to procure kits that will be used to upgrade existing Acoustic Data Recorders (ADR) and Data Replay Recorders (DRR) to a hard drive configuration. NAVAIR will also purchase new ADRs and a DRR in the hard drive configuration for obsolescence, reliability, and maintainability improvements. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. DRS is uniquely qualified to perform this effort since they are the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the ADR and DRR for the P-3C Update III Aircraft. See Note 22.
