- NAWCAD intends to contract on a sole source basis with CALIFORNIA METALS WORKS, LLC of California, MD for the fabrication and installation of a large piping system to be installed at our Lakehurst, NJ site, which will deliver air from ground level supply tanks and air producers to the elevated engine nozzle hardware. California Metals fabricated and installed the air and water piping systems that were used on the FY04 Acoustics Test. Major portions of this system are still in place and will be included in this current requirement. Modifications and additions to this system are required and as no detailed drawings exist, it is in the government?s best interest to leverage the existing knowledge and experience of California Metals. No RFP is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties may submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement, to include descriptive literature, within 3 days of this announcement to tonecia.porter@navy.mil
