- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC SD) intend to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) No. N66001-06-R-0018 for engineering and technical support services in support of submarine and satellite communications, information technology, and other related C4I efforts. This effort will include support in the following general areas: development, systems engineering, test and evaluation, program management; fleet engineering; integrated logistics, and training support for the following capability areas: Submarine Command, Control, and Communications (C3), Undersea Communications, Net-centric Communications, eXtensible Enterprise Services, Defense Information Technology Services and Engineering Support, and Global Strike and Joint Strategic Communications. Examples of, but not limited to, users of this requirement include the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and Special Operations Command (USSCOM). The estimated level of effort is 1,048,100 hours for the entire performance period that will consist of a three (3) year base period with two (2) one-year options for a total of five years. This is a full and open competition procurement. An Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract with a cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) pricing arrangement is anticipated. The Government anticipates multiple awards pursuant to the criteria in the RFP. Large businesses are encouraged to form joint ventures with small businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541330 ??? Engineering, and the Small Business Size Standard $25M. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the Government. The estimated released date for the solicitation is anticipated by 30 March 2006 and response will be due 30 days thereafter. The solicitation will only be available electronically. Electronic copies of the RFP may be obtained from the SPAWAR E-Commerce website at http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil under SSC San Diego "Open Solicitations". Hard copy versions of the RFP and any subsequent amendments will not be available. Firms are encouraged to review the website regularly for important solicitation information.
