Description
NAICS Code: 561990 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for fast food service operations at its Andrew W. Briedenbach Environmental Research Center (AWBERC), 26 W. Martin Luther King Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio. These services will be provided in AWBERC?s 5,200 square-foot cafeteria, which has a seating capacity of 250. Occupancy of the AWBERC facility averages between 700 and 800 people. Services provided by the Contractor will include breakfast and lunch as well as ensuring continuous availability of snacks and hot/cold beverages. The cafeteria hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays observed by the Federal Government. Estimated cafeteria usage is as follows: Breakfast 125; Morning Break 50; Lunch 225; Afternoon Break 50. These estimates are for information purposes only and do not reflect any guarantee by the EPA of future users or receipts. The contractor shall provide a variety of prepared foods which meet business and industry standards of quality and nutrition and comply with current U.S. Dietary Guidelines. Offerors have the option of proposing a fixed monthly management fee to subsidize operational costs, and award of a firm-fixed-price performance-based contract is contemplated. In addition to price, the government?s evaluation of proposals will address each offeror?s technical approach, past performance, and management plan. All non-price evaluation factors combined are approximately equal in importance to price. It is anticipated that any resulting contract will include a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods. The anticipated contract start date is October 1, 2006. The solicitation will be processed under full and open competition procedures. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Agency. Copies of the solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd. The solicitation will be issued approximately March 3, 2006. All questions should be directed to Almethyist Abercrombie via e-mail at abercrombie.almethyist@epa.gov or via phone (513) 487-2093.
