Small Business Set Aside DESCRIPTION: PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. Architect-Engineer (A-E) Services are required for construction projects. A-E services will include all aspects of engineering design, survey, construction planning, construction management, and reporting in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Albuquerque. Design services include general and experiment specific design work for test beds and test support facilities. This includes all work associated with the initiation, development, production, and distribution of construction drawings. Survey work includes both topographical and construction survey. Construction inspection services may also be required to cover a full range of construction inspection, and project surveillance services. Also included is Material Properties Determination and Testing that includes evaluation of construction material characteristics. Various types of A-E Services such as investigation, inspection, studies, reports, and cost estimates may also be required as relates to project design. Projects could include various combinations of disciplines. Contractual questions should be directed to Denise Farris at 505.846.8830 or emailed to denise.farris@abq.dtra.mil. An Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (A-E) contract with a mixture of cost and fixed price CLINs is contemplated. Period of performance will be for a basic ordering period of 5 years from the contract award date with an option to extend the ordering period for another 5 years. Projects will be issued to contractor by task orders. Cumulative amounts of all delivery orders will not exceed $10,000,000 for the total contract period, base and option. Contract award is anticipated for July 2006. This synopsis does not constitute an invitation for bids or a request for proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government. This acquisition is set-aside for small business. A solicitation issued date of 17 Feb 2006 and a proposal due date of 03 Apr 2006 are tentative.
