Description
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) seeks to award a Fixed Price Type Contract to acquire an international patents database search capability. The acquisition objective is to acquire a license for a multi-year value-added international patents database for government use and limited public use and to provide unlimited government access to this value-added international patents database through the commercial hosts. The period of performance for this requirement is anticipated to be for a base year, four additional one-year options periods. Additionally, the successful Offeror has the opportunity to earn up to two additional award term years depending on contract performance. A RFP will be made available on the Internet at http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/ac/comp/proc/intlpatdb/intlpathom.htm on or about September 21, 2005. Interested parties are responsible for checking the website regularly to view the RFP and for other procurement-related documents. Since all procurement-related documents will be released via the Internet, a mailing list and list of interested vendors will not be available. Interested firms must respond to the RFP in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. Questions shall be submitted in writing.
