- The USCG Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for the following: 1) NSN: 3010-12-344-0596, Reduction Gear, Karl Senner Inc. Part No. WVS 234 UP, Qty 2. (Note: Substitute part numbers are NOT acceptable). FOB Destination delivery to USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD 21226 on or before 11/30/06. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY. It is anticipated that a non-competitive sole source purchase order will be issued for this item to: Karl Senner Inc. or its authorized distributors. It is the Government?s belief that only Karl Senner Inc. and/or their authorized dealers/distributors, can furnish the required parts and ensure the proper fit, form and function of all it components. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same in duplicate within 5 days of this announcement. However, other potential sources desiring to furnish other than Karl Senner Inc. parts are required to submit the following information: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability characteristics) or 2) Data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Proposal shall include, proposed delivery in days, pricing for item(s) individually packed in it?s own Wooden container and shall be capable of providing adequate protection during multiple shipments, marked and bar-coded (Specifications are available upon request.), the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. This is a combined Synopsis/solicitation for commercial purchase prepared in accordance with FAR subpart 12.6 and FAC 2005-3, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Scope: This description is for the purchase of Eisenwerke Rientjes marine gear(s) model number WVS 234 UP. 2. Purchase Description: The gear ratio shall be 2.00:1 with a clockwise input shaft rotation. The output shaft shall be counter clockwise rotation. 3. Warranty: Item will be put into inventory. ?NOT FOR IMMEDIATE INSTALLATION.? The Contractor shall guarantee item(s) against any defects that may contribute to failures for one (1) year after date of installation and or two (2) years storage after delivery to the Coast Guard. 4. Bar Coding: All bar coded labels shall be in accordance with ELC specification D-000-0100. a. The actual labels shall be Type "V", Grade "A", Style"2", Composition "b" with plastic laminate. b. Each label shall contain encoded data for the Stock Number, the Delivery Order Number and the Contract Number. 5. Preservation: Each unit shall be preserved in accordance with manufacture instructions, individually preserved and wrapped for protection against deterioration for a period of two (2) years minimum. 6. Packing and Marking for Shipping: Each gear shall be packed individually in its own wooden box. The container shall be solid wood as per MIL-C-104C (1), Type I, Class II, with removable cover, Style A, for long-term storage and multiple shipments. a. Mark each box in legible black print lettering with the following information: NATIONAL STOCK NUMBER: 3010-12-344-0596 ITEM NAME: TRANSMISSION (REINTJES) PART NUMBER: WSV 234 UP SERIAL NUMBER: XXXXX GOVERNMENT ORDER NUMBER: XX-XXXX And the words ?Coast Guard Logistic Center? condition ?A? b. The following marking shall be placed on all four sides and the top of each box, in stenciled black print at least 2" high. Government Acceptance: Acceptance shall be made at destination by a government representative.
