- Description
- The VA Medical Center in Albany, NY has a requirement for all preventative maintenance, monitoring, repairs and reports for all of the equipment, controls and appurtenances within the chilled water plant. Due to the technical nature of this equipment and the emphasis placed upon its ability to operate with minimal equipment down time, the successful offeror must possess the necessary technical expertise and resources required to meet the specifications described. Maintenance Inspections: Scheduled maintenance inspections are performed at various times throughout the heating and cooling seasons, spread throughout the year, at frequency intervals that meet manufacturer?s recommendations and specifications. Maintenance parts and materials shall be provided to fully complete all scheduled maintenance tasks. Repair Labor, Parts and Material: Coverage includes all labor to diagnose, repair or replace failed components of the equipment covered under the provisions of this agreement, 24 hours, 365 days per year. Coverage also includes all parts necessary to repair faulty equipment under this contract, in addition all material associated or indirectly associated with completing the necessary repairs under the provisions of this agreement. Emergency Services: Emergency services and repairs are included on a 24-hour-per-day, 365 days-per-year basis. Written Reports: Written reports will be provided to the contracting officers technical representative (COTR) following each scheduled and unscheduled inspection, repair, maintenance or emergency call. Preferential Service Agreement Rate: This contract includes preferred service status. For work outside the scope of service, a discount from the contractor?s market rate, at the time of service, will apply. Cooling / Heating Season: Seasonal work is defined as, Cooling Season April 1st ? September 30th, Heating Season October 1st ? March 31st, although several areas of the Medical Center are required to have both heating and cooling throughout the year. Services will be provided on equipment from a variety of manufacturers, including; Trane, Carrier, General Electric, Cutler Hammer, and others. Parties who feel that they are qualified to perform such services should contact the Contracting Officer no later than February 13, 2006, and provide proof of these technical capabilities.
