- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The USPFO for Arizona intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Draeger Safety Systems Inc., Pittsburgh, PA, in accordance with the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to provide the foll owing: Entry control Merlin Telemetry System. The upgrade system is the only system compatible with current SCBA owned equipment. A formal Request for Quotation is not available. Draeger Safety Inc. is the manufacturer of the current SCBA equioment and is the only know Vendor capable of providing this product that will interface to the existing SCBA. Award will be made using simplif ied acquisition procedures. Offerors certain they can meet the requirement are requested to submit in writing an affirmative response and technical capabilities. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including det ailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements. Failure to submit such documentation will result in the government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competit ion based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Affirmative written responses must be received no later then 15-days after publication of this synopsis.
