- The United States Joint Forces Command (JFCOM) Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC) has recently been assigned the mission of implementing the Joint Knowledge Development and Distribution Capability (JKDDC) as part of the ongoing DoD Training Transformation (T2) efforts. In order to facilitate awareness of best practices of industry for review and analysis, the JWFC is conducting a series of "brainstorming" events in the form of Market Awareness sessions. Government organizations and contractors that have been directly involved in support for Joint Warfighting and that have demonstrated specific expertise in this area have been invited, on a no-reimbursable basis, to participate in these events. Invited participants include OSD Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), Joint Assessments and Enabling Capability (JAEC), the Joint Staff, JFCOM, Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) JMO, ADL Co-Labs, Defense Acquisition University (DAU), Johns Hopkins University, CTC, SAIC, Cornerstone, IBM, BAH, Microsoft, Team Orlando, Northrop Grumman and partners in support of the JWFC, and the ADL Co-Labs. Other interested firms and organizations are invited to participate on the same non-reimbursable basis on a space-available basis. Please contact the JKDDC Program Manager identified below. The following is the schedule of the time, location, and government leads for the events:* 7-9 February - Knowledge Distribution (hosted by Defense Acquisition University, Ft. Belvoir, VA, Dr. West / Mr. Ramirez)* 14-16 February - Advanced Concepts (hosted by the Joint ADL Co-Lab, Orlando, FL, Ms. Burmester / Mr. Egnor) *21-24 February - Knowledge Management (hosted by USJFCOM, Suffolk, VA, Mr. Shephard / Dr. Freeman) *28 Feb-2 Mar - Assessment (hosted by JAEC, Alexandria, VA, Ms. Roper-Burton / Ms. Patenaude) Minutes of these sessions will be made available to the public through the JFCOM website.Questions concerning these events may be addressed to J.D.
