Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS), in support of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Keyport, WA is soliciting for a firm, fixed price, service type contract to be negotiated on a sole source basis with BAE Systems. The requirement will include line items for explosives handling, electrical repair support for mine assemblies, Battery Reclamation Facility support, disposal of and/or recycling of batteries, maintenance of equipment, shredders, ventilation systems and retort, and a variety of administrative support functions to include mail services. Services to be performed at the Hawthorne Detachment, Hawthorne, NV. Period of performance will extend from 1 April 2006 to 30 June 2006. BAE Systems is currently providing these services and this contractual vehicle will only serve as a bridge contract until a longer-term contract can be put in place. The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 February 2006 with a closing date of 20 March 2006. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposed contract to be procured using FAR Part 15. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
