Description
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. What will be the main purpose of these vehicles, i.e. training aids for actual combat training, transportation of military personnel, or routine patrols? - Primary purpose is transportation of personnel and equipment on main post, may be required to go downrange on occasion, but not often. 2. Can damage be expected due to the nature of use to vehicle, i.e. such as dents, window breaks, scratches in the paint or shall the vendor assume normal wear and tear? - Normal wear should be expected, no heavy off-road use will occur. 3. Will an office or cubicle be provided to the Vendor to have an on-site manager for technical/mechanical issues so the government can have readily available vendor assistance for any issue? - An office will not been allocated, we would prefer to be provided a 24/7 phone number and have them come to us. 4. Do the SUV's and 1 Ton Pickup trucks need to be 4x4? - Yes 5. What can we expect the average mileage to be put on these vehicles every 6 months? - Estimate 6,000 miles, 1,000 p/month - Request vehicles to be year 2000 or newer 6. Can the vendor assume that there will be at least 1 extension period to help in costs to the government? - No, the vendor should not assume there would be any extension period. 7. Is the contractor required to have Full coverage Auto Insurance? - In Accordance With (IAW) FAR 52.228-8 (c) The Contractor shall provide and maintain insurance covering its liabilities under paragraph (b) of this clause, in amounts of at least $200,000 per person and $500,000 per occurrence for death or bodily inj ury and $20,000 per occurrence for property damage or loss. 8. Will the vendor be required to provide License Plates, or will the government provide government plates? - The vendor will be required to provide License Plates. 9. Does the Government have any flexibility in the required delivery within 24 hours of contract award? - No, due to mission requirement there is no flexibility in delivery. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (03-FEB-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
