- Description
- This is a revised synopsis regarding solicitation RFP-CMS-2006-8A-0005 posted on January 31, 2006. The NAICS code of 519190 has been replaced with 541519. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is soliciting proposals for IT infrastructure oversight and support services for the Quality Net (Q-Net), an environment that supports numerous projects for a variety of CMS organizations. CMS requires contractor support for the technical infrastructure components of the Q-Net environment. This infrastructure support includes: network, Unix and Microsoft servers, configuration management, testing, project and task management and security. The contractor shall proactively manage the evolutionary growth and expansion of the Q-Net technical infrastructure as well as manage the evolution of the engineering and development process, including configuration management and testing. The perod of performance shall be a base year plus six one-year options and is limited to only certified 8(a) concerns. Offerors may subcontract with large businesses provided the offeror performs 51% of the work effort. The solicitation shall be posted in the Fedbizopps on or about February 21, 2006. Offerors are advised that questions regarding this pre-solicitation notice and pre-solicitation notice RFP-CMS-2006-8A-0005 should be held until after the solicitation is posted. Questions regarding the solicitation will be due no later than 10 days after the posting date. All questions must be in the form of email. CMS will not be responding to telephone inquiries. One award shall be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best overall value to the Government.
