Description

(i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposa ls are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number is W911QX-04-T-0029. This acquisition is issued as an RFQ. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect thr ough Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-08 (iv) This acquisition is set-aside for small business. The associated NAICS code is 334519. The small business size standard is 500 employees. (v) The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and i tems, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): NONE (vi) Description of requirements: Mobile, man portable, real time automatic tracking system configured around a direct drive pedestal. The pedestal shall be capable of po sitioning up to 150 lb or greater at velocities of 100 deg/sec or greater and accelerations of 60 deg/sec or greater. Base platform shall weight 50 lbs or less and allow the system to be placed on uneven surfaces with up to a 10 degree or more slope. Encoder resolution up to least 19-bit. Delivery shall include 1)one pedestal and pedestal shipping case; 2)one operators station 14-U rack and shipping case; 3)one control computer and tracking system controller with at least 19 inch LCD PIP monitor; S ervo control unit, keyboard, aircraft style joystick and 50 ft or more interface cable; 5)one set of user manuals, installation and maintenance instructions, software developers kit , sample code and drivers for the VME computer board. (vii) Delivery is required by 120 days after date of award. Delivery shall be made FOB to US Army Research Laboratory, Bldg 1646, White Sands Missile Range, NM 88002-5513Acceptance shall be performed at US Army Research Laboratory, Bldg 1646, White Sands Missile Range, NM 88002-5513(viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this provision: NONE (ix) The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items is appl icable to this acquisition.
