Description

02/15/2006 Site Visit: A site visit will be held at Upper Stillwater Dam on February 14, 2006. The intended purpose of the site visit is to allow companies with waterproofing systems to examine the roller compacted concrete dam surface characteristics for compatibility with their systems. The time of the site visit is 10:00 am at Reclamation's construction trailer located at the downstream toe of the dam. Roads to the dam are snow packed and four wheel drive vehicles are recommended. Temperatures at the dam can be subfreezing and winter clothing is required. Walking through snow will be required to examine the upstream face. Informal Briefing: An informal briefing will be held separately with each waterproofing company on February 15, 2006 at Reclamation's Provo Area Office, to discuss the proposed waterproofing systems. It is intended that each briefing will be held in the morning. Specific times will be scheduled on February 14, 2006. The address for the briefings is 302 East 1860 South, Provo, Utah.
