- The Drug Enforcement Administration/Office of Acquisition Management (DEA/FAC), Arlington, VA intends to post a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award nationwide contracts using Full and Open Competition for hazardous waste removal and disposal services. The contractor is not responsible for remedial cleanup and disposal of residual waste, which may remain after the removal of gross contamination. The objective of these contracts is to secure the services of contractors who are qualified by federal, state, and local laws to perform the duties of a "generator" of hazardous waste on behalf of law enforcement agencies and to properly manage hazardous waste seized by those in law enforcement at clandestine drug laboratories, generated by DEA's forensic laboratories, mobile laboratories, training exercises, or by other waste generating activity authorized by DEA. The period of performance is for one 2 year base period and three 1 year option periods. The RFP information should be posted through the DEA Acquisitions web page at www.dea.gov on or about February 17, 2006.
