Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with GESAC, Inc., Boonsboro, MD for the VAMC, Neuroscience and Biomechanics Research Labs in Milwaukee WI. GESAC will provide technical support, repairs, and testing and certification services for the THOR-Anthropomorphic Test Devices ATDs). This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 332721. As the designer and developer of this next generation of the ATDs for the VA/NHTSA, GESAC uses proprietary computer-modeling package as well as their existing calibration equipment specifically developed for the devices at this location. Inventory of spare parts for the THOR-FLX, THOR-NT and LX is a must. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Office within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295, via e-mail to diane.brazale@va.gov or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with GESAC, Inc.
