- Description
- The U.S. Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office, requires continuation of field service engineering services (FSE) to support the Weapons Plank, Ammunition Systems, and Weapon Systems installed on the MH-60K/L and AH-6J/M special mission aircraft. The period of performance will be 1 Mar 06 through 30 Jun 06. The FSE shall provide advisory service for updating the skills of DA maintenance personnel and troubleshooting various weapons systems on the MH-60K/L and AH-6J/M special mission aircraft. These systems include, but are not limited to, the following: M230/30mm, GAU-19 .50 cal, M134 7.62 Minigun, M2AC.50 cal, 2.75? rocket, and Weapons Plank. The Government intends to award a contract to Cantine Armament, Inc., on a sole source basis. Cantine is currently performing the above duties. This contract is for a four month bridge period only, prior to issuance of a competitive solicitation for a new contract. There are no other known sources who would be capable of performing the requested services due to the short time frame, and other factors specified in this notice. Note 22 applies. Responses to this notice are due by 21 February 2006 (4:30PMest) to: bforbes@tapo.eustis.army.mil. The Government anticipates issuance of a Request For Quote (RFQ) on or before 22 February 2006, and all applicable terms and conditions will be incorporated in the RFQ when issued.
