- Description
- Project consists of reconstructing four miles of roadway along three separate routes. Work will be completed on three road segments and includes roadway excavation and embankment, roadway obliteration, structural excavation and backfill, removal and replacement of existing cattle guard and fencing and aggregate surfacing installation. Water for compaction and concrete mixing shall be incidental to the pay item requiring water. Contractor shall make local arrangements for obtaining water. The project location is in the Ekalaka Hills of the Sioux Ranger District on the Custer National Forest in Carter County, Montana. The roads are located in sections 25 & 26, T1N, R58E and Sections 19 & 29, T1N, R59E, approximately 7 miles south of Ekalaka, Montana. Work is estimated to begin in May 2006 with a completion date of October 31, 2006. Magnitude of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. No Pre-Bid Tour is scheduled.
