- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. It is the intent of the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center to negotiate on a sole source basis with Flo Healthcare 5801 Goshen Springs Road, Ste. A Norcross, GA 30076 for mobile carts, under authority of FAR 6.302. Entire cart must meet Biomedical Safety Standards for medical electronics UL-60601-1 Certification. Work surface height must be adjustable from 31? to 40?, Work surface dimensions 21? x 16?, Base dimensions 17? x 17?, Construction Cold-Rolled Steel with extruded aluminum, Finish industrial powder coat Wheels Four swivel with 2 locking and 2 non locking, Footrest, Storage Basket column mounted size 14? x 7? x 7?, Adjustable extended downsized Keyboard Tray with gel wrist rest and mouse pad. The keyboard should have its own location and include a skin for protection. It should be retractile and lock in 3 places. Completely closed, partially extended and fully extended. The workstation must have cable management features such that no cables are exposed to the end user with the exception of the power cable. The cart must have a cable management solution such that wiring is not exposed to disconnection through snagging. Entire cart must meet Biomedical Safety Standards for medical electronics UL-60601-1 Certification. Desktop Form Factor Computer (must be fully enclosed in cart to prevent theft and must have on/off switch externally with easy to access) Intel Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 1 MB Level 2 Cache, 400 MHz FSB, or equivalent 512 MB DDR RAM upgradeable to 2 GB RAM 2.5 ?IDE 20 GB Hard Drive I/O Ports ? (4) USB 2.0 ports (backward compatible to 1.0) (2) RJ45 ports (3) DB-9 Serial Ports (1) DB-15 VGA Ports (1) EP/ECP Port (2) PS/2 keyboard and Mouse ports Audio Line in/Line out and MIC ports Windows XP Professional, SP2, NTFS 19? LCD Display with adjustable VESA support bracket External 802.11 b/g High gain antenna External 10/100 MB Ethernet jack External battery level indicator Input Voltage 110VAC Output Voltage Nominal 12 VDC Battery **NiMH 400 Wh (approximately 15 hours of runtime) Charging time 10 ? 12 hours Weight <= 26 lbs The Power supply for the workstation must contain a Nickel Metal Hydride battery. Sealed Lead Acid is not acceptable because of high maintenance issues associated with changing the battery. The power system on the workstation must have the capability of charging a hand held wireless scanner and the power system must also be upgradeable to power a vitals monitor without using AC current on the cart. Vendors may identify in writing their interest and capability in response to this requirement. All responses received no later than the closing date of this announcement will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
