- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis . There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response. This Sources Sought Synopsis is published for market research purposes only, and in no way obligates the Government in an award of any contract. The Document Automation & Production Service (DAPS) is seeking commercial technology solutions for a ?Print Procurement Tool? to utilize in conjunction with procurement of commercial printing through the Government Printing Office (GPO). This synopsis seeks to identify qualified sources from Government or Industry for the following requirements: Records Management. 1. Electronically complete the following forms: Standard Form (SF) 1 (Printing and Binding Requisition to the Public Printer) GPO Form 907 (Non-Compliance/Change Report) GPO Form 952 (Desktop Publishing ? Disk Information) GPO Form 1815 (Notice of Quality Defects) GPO Form 2511 (Print Order) 2. Drop-down menus on forms for ease of completion 3. Common definitions available in Help menu 4. Archive forms/data with search and retrieve capabilities by several different index fields 5. Retrieve forms/data and make changes for new submission 6. Export forms/data to GPO in usable format 7. Print capabilities 8. Attach and export digital job files to GPO 9. Email forms/data and attached digital files 10. Allows for digital signatures 11. Interface with GPO for: Estimation of job Status of existing job Name of printing contractor and retrieval of job specifications 12. Enter and retrieve tracking information for each print job 13. Archive solicitations, specifications, bid results, and term contracts with search and retrieve capabilities by several different index fields 14. Creation of one record for each job, including all appropriate documentation (such as digital form/data, digital job file (if appropriate), solicitation, specifications, bid results, tracking information, invoice (Excel spreadsheet), etc. 15. Interface with GPO for periodic updates on work purchased (awards, financial, delivery) Management Reports. 1. Compile standard and custom reports with capability to export to configurable data spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), to include: Print job information Billing Address Code (BAC) information Updates from GPO (#15 above) System Requirements. 1. Accessibility via the Web -- readily available to all users, whether local or remote, in a user-friendly format 2. Information transmitted over the Internet protected by 128-bit encryption 3. Back-up of data for disaster recovery and/or replication 4. Different levels of user access Sources having the capability to provide any or all of these requirements are invited to submit a white paper, capability statement, or other literature outlining capabilities as well as existing Government contract vehicles through which to acquire this capability such as Federal Supply Schedule contracts. Documents shall be provided in electronic form (Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) to gary.walls@dla.mil no later than February 28, 2006; include ?Print Procurement Tool? in the subject line of all email correspondence. Company information should include qualifications and experience, demonstrated success in work of this nature, point of contact, business size and disadvantaged, 8(a), or HUBZone status. Any information submitted in response to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this synopsis. This announcement in no way obligates the Government to issue a solicitation or otherwise make a contract award.
