Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Acquisition Management Division, has a requirement for scientific services to perform CONTAM simulations of ventilation rates. This requirement will involve the use of existing multizone airflow models of a defined collection of residential buildings in the CONTAM airflow model. The major objective of this procurement is to perform annual simulations to determine ventilation rate distributions for the homes. The specific tasks are described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) included in the solicitation and the period of performance shall be six (6) months from date of purchase order acceptance. The incumbent Contractor is Vandemusser Design of Ashville, NC. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541690, and the size standard of $6.5 Million. The solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about February 15, 2006. It will be conducted as a total small business set-aside using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site.
