Description

The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Office, has a requirement for road maintenance located in Colorado in the following counties: Chaffee, Delta, Custer, Fremont, Garfield, Gunnison, Moffat, Montrose, Teller, Eagle, Mesa and Rio Blanco. The work consists of furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to maintain roads as designated by this contract. Part of the work shall be completed by motor grader and paid for by the mile and part of the work shall be completed by crawler tractor with ripper and paid for by the hour. On the Work Data Sheet included in the solicitation, the roads which have an entry for "Roadway Miles" and/or "Ditch Maintenance Miles" shall be maintained with a motor grader and the roads with an entry for "Equipment Rental Hours" shall be maintained with a Crawler tractor with ripper. Regardless of which piece of equipment is being used, work shall not be allowed before sunrise or after sunset. In addition, even if the sun is up, work shall not be allowed to start before 0600 hours or continue after 1900 hours. Also "dozer" work shall not exceed 10 consecutive hours per day plus an allowance for a 30 minute lunch break and 30 minutes for refueling. The government estimate for the project is under $100,000.00 and is set aside for small businesses. Project performance period is 187 days. A prebid conference is offered at the BLM, Grand Junction Office, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, Colorado on March 10, 2006 at 8:00 am. Contact is Michele Derfler Contracting Officer at (970)244-3175. This requirement will be advertised on or about February 24, 2006 through March 27, 2006. Offers will be accepted at the BLM, EFO, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506 or faxed to (970)244-3130 or submitted electronically. Hard copy bids or faxed bids must be received no later than 4:30 pm on March 27, 2006 or electronically no later than 11:59 pm on March 27, 2006. All offers will be considered.
