Description

Furnish all labor, equipment, transportation, and supplies to construct a crushed gravel road surface, providing up to approximately 4100 tons of crushed surface gravel on approximately 1.1 mile of existing gravel road and camping/parking areas around the Wood Bottom Boat Ramp. Work involves road bed preparation, spreading, blading, watering, and compacting. There will be (8) line items on the schedule, (1) Mobilization; (2) Temporary Facilities and Controls; (3) Road Bed Preparation, and five (5) line items for Crushed Aggregate Surface for use on the camping area and gravel road. Depending on quotes received, and because of money constraints, there is a possibility that not all line items for road bed gravel will be awarded. Project shall be completed between July 15 and September 15, 2006. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A 100 percent payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $25,000. Payment protection will be due PRIOR to issuance of the Notice to Proceed and can be submitted by an Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond. A tentative site visit is scheduled for the week of March 13, 2006. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 237310. Recommended that prospective vendors complete their annual representations and certifications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. The solicitation will be posted during the week of February 27, 2006. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office and will be available on http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Response date for quotes will be on or about March 29, 2006. This is a total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Small business size standard is $31.0 million.
