- Description
- St. Joe Ranger District, Shoshone County, Idaho. This project includes hand scaling and rock bolting in seven of the ten tunnels on the Route of the Hiawatha Trail. The Route of the Hiawatha Trail is a rails-to-trails facility where approximately 15 miles of the abandoned Milwaukee Railroad grade was converted to a bicycle & pedestrian trail. Rock bolting is anticipated in tunnels No. 21, 22, 24, 26 and 29 for an estimated 1,640 LF of rock bolting. Rock bolts are designed for a 10 LF penetration using a threadbar and resin grout system. The work includes disposal of scaled rock from tunnel floors, restoration of tunnel tail surface disturbed during performance of this project and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Government estimate between $100,000 and $250,000. Estimate start work date of April 27, 2006 with completion date of June 15, 2006. Solicitation will be available approximately March 6, 2006.
