Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Greenville, Illinois intends to make a single award for the provision of dog obedience instruction services affiliated with a canine companion/service program to be provided at the Federal Prison Camp located in Greenville, IL. The contractor will supply the FCI with the dogs to complete the program. The contractor will be responsible for providing all supplies for the dogs including crates, leashes, collars, food, medicine, medical attention, etc. Upon completion of the program, the contractor is responsible for placement of the dogs back into the community. The instruction services shall consist of course planning and lesson preparation, class instruction in the specialized areas of dog obedience, street certification skills, grooming and husbandry skills, and other specialized areas to allow participants to receive animal trainer certification upon completion of the course program. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government based on price related factors only. The contract shall consist of a 6-month base period and two 12-month option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The estimated quantities for the base and each option period for dog obedience instruction services are four sessions per week. Each session is one hour in length. The contractor shall perform the required services in accordance with all current Federal, State, and Local Codes or Regulations in effect during the term of the contract. The solicitation will be available on or about February 15, 2006, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about February 28, 2006. The solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this service is 611699. All responsible small businesses may submit a quote which will be considered for an award.
