Description
This is a small business set-aside. NAICS #333996; business size 500 employees. The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for a Contractor to service the hydraulic systems aboard the Dredge Wheeler. The company should be a Pocl ain distributor and be trained in Poclain positive displacement pump overhaul. Contractor shall provide all transportation, labor, hydraulics shop repair facilities, materials, tools, and equipment required to inspect, trouble-shoot, service/repair, test, and perform preventive maintenance on the dredging hydraulic system. The Dredge Wheeler is an all steel, diesel propelled, sea-going, trailing suction hopper dredge. Length overall 408 feet, 3 inches; maximum breadth82 feet, 0 inches; minimum draft Aft 21 feet, 6 inches; minimum draft forward15 feet, 6 inches; lightship displacement9,876.25 long tons. Prospective offerors are encouraged to make a site visit prior to solicitation closing date. This solicitation is 100% set aside for Small Business. Th e NAICS code is 333996 and the business size is 500 employees. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 3594. This requirement will be procured as a base plus four option period contract. Solicitation W912P8-06-R-0105 will be made available electronica lly at the New Orleans District Website www.mvn.usace.army.mil. It is and will continue to be all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the NOD website for any amendments, updates, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be mai ntaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential offerors to download from the NOD website or request an electronic copy of the data by e-mailing Brenda.d.welty@mvn02.usace.army.mil or faxing request to 504-862-2892.
