Description

Description of work: Furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to aerially apply liquid herbicide to approximately 14,586 acres of rangelands located iin Chaves, Eddy, and Lincoln Counties, State of New Mexico. Application of liquid herbicides shall be with Contractor-furnished property using aircraft at the locations shown on the drawings. Work shall commence on approximately 05/20/2006 (to be finalized at the pre-work conference) and completed no later than 45 calendar days after the start date. The Contractor shall protect products, incorporated into the work, from damage while in transit to the site. Products must be delivered in original unopened containers with manufacturer's name and brand designation and contents legibly indicated. The Contractor shall also provide temporary storage facilities for products. Storage shall comply with the manufacturer's instructions. The storage area shall permit access for inspection and handling. The Contractor shall load and unload products protecting them from damage until installation on the project. The Contractor shall deliver Contractor-furnished herbicide and water, carrier, including wetting agent in original, unopened containers. Herbicide: Shall conform to the following: Active Ingredient(s): Remedy a. Triclopyr (3, 4, 6-Trichloro-2-pyridinyloxyacetic acid), Butoxyethyl Ester .................................... 61.6% Inert Ingredients...................................... 38.4% Acid Equivalent: Triclopyr - 44.3% - 4 lb/gal Contains petroleum distillates E.P.A. Registration No. 62719-70 E.P.A. Est. 464-MI-1 Reclaim b. Clopyralid (3,6-dichloro-2-pyridinecarboxylic acid) as the Monoethanolamine salt .................................. 40.9% Inert Ingredients...................................... 59.1% Acid Equivalent: 3, 6-dichloro-2-pyrdinercarboxylic acid, 31% - 3 lb/gal E.P.A. Registration No. 62719-83 E.P.A. Est. 464-MI-1 EQUIPMENT: 1. General: The Contractor shall furnish aircraft to apply herbicide to the designated areas in the time specified. 2. Type: aircraft used shall be fixed wing or rotor wing capable of applying herbicide at 130 mph maximum.
