Description

The government intends to solicit and award a commercial firm fixed price purchase order for the maintenance of ES-3 Edgers, services of Satisloh North America, Inc. utilizing other than full and open competition. The required sole source services are as follows: 1 year extended warranty for ES-3 Edgers (p/n 06-900-141) ? 4 each; as required by the Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity. Satisloh North American, Inc. is the sole and propriety manufacturer of these edgers for extended warrant and maintenance. The statutory authority for pursuing this action on a sole source only basis is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the contractor will be self certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to so represent may be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. By submission of a quote, the offeror acknowledges that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance of the order and through final apartment of the purchase order. Failure to register on CCR may make an offeror ineligible for award. The solicitation will be posted on or about 14 February 2006.and close on or about 20 February 2006. Number notes 22 applies
