Description
NSN 1H-2090-012244910, TDP VER 012, QTY 4325 EA, DELIVER TO SW3117, DEF DIST DEPOT NORFOLK VA, NORFOLK, VA 23511-3318. The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) intends to procure a Faring Strip found on the exterior hull of the SSN 688 class submarines, using a qualification requirement per the provisions offff FAR 9.2. Only sources that have been approved under the qualificationnnnnnnnnnnn requirement will be considered for contract award. Contractors interested innnnn manufacturing the Faring Strips must request copy of the specification anddddddd drawing package from the Contract Specialist at NAVICP: Naval Inventory Controll Point Code 846.1, 5450 Carlisle Pike, PO Box 2020 Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 Phhhhh (717) 605-2373 Email Janet.Machamer@navy.mil or from the engineering activity,,, Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division,, Codee 622, Philadelphia, PA 19112- 1403. Ph (215) 897-1612. The applicable item is:::: Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Item 5808331, Revision G,, Faring Strip,,,,, TYPE AD-79M. Due to the military critical technology contained in theeeeeeeeeeee specifications and drawings, a completed and approved DD Form 2345, entitleddddd Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, must accompany the contractorsssssss request for documents. Certification under the JCP establishes the eligibilityyy of a U.S. or Canadian contractor to receive technical data governed, in theeeeee U.S., by DoD Directive 5230.25 and, in Canada, by the Technical Data Controlllll Regulations (TDCR). The Defense Logistics Information Service attttttttttttttttt http://www.dlis.dla.mil/http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/ is responsible for theeeeee administration and functionality of the Certification process. Once a contractor has been provided a copy of the specification and drawing all further actionssss regarding the qualification process will be between the contractor anddddddddddd Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Codeee 622. Any qualification for manufacture of Fairing Strip will be done by theeeeee contractor and will not be accompplished under a Navy contract. The approximatee time period following submission of a product for qualification testing withinnn which the applicant will be notified whether the product passed or failed theeee qualification testing is currently estimated to be 90 days. When a product issss submitted for qualification testing, the applicant must furnish any specificcccc information that may be requested of the manufacturer before testing will begin. Once a contractor becomes qualified, The Department of the Navy, Naval Navalllll Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, will notify NAVICP.
