- The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center intends to release request for proposal W91CRB-06-R-0001 on or about 17 November 2005 for engineering services to support the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC). The U. S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) is a subordinate activity of the US Army Developmental Test Command (DTC) which, in turn, is subordinate to the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC). ATCs primary mission is to support DoD test and evaluation (T&E) r equirements. ATC also conducts testing for federal, state and local governments, academia, private industry, and foreign governments. Major mission areas include automotive (wheeled and tracked), firepower, survivability/lethality, warfighter, military e nvironmental technologies, and maritime systems. In support of this mission ATC has a continuing need for scientific and engineering support for the development of instrumentation systems and test facilities. This support needs to be of a quick response nature to solve instrumentation problems without costly delays to high priority test programs.The solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. The solicitation will result in one Task Order Contract that accomodates both time and materials and f irm fixed price task orders for one year with seven one-year option periods. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the internet at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) web site located at the following address: https: //acquisition.army.mil. The on-line version of the RFP includes all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments, should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. It is the responsibility ofthose responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents.
