Description
This amendment provides the answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) for this solicitation and indicates the the appropriate points of contact. FAQs Question 1: Will the cell phones be required to operate during emergencies, during disasters, and in remote locations? Answer 1: The cell phone should be operable in the states of Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and North Dakota. These states are considered remote locations by AmeriCorps*NCCC based on the minimal amount of service that is available in those locations. Disaster phones should be provided at no additional cost. Disaster phones should be shipped and signed for by a staff member before deployment and returned to vendor at the end of deployment. AmeriCorps*NCCC members are not deployed to respond to emergencies. Question 2: Can you specify the remote locations you will be needing service? Answer 2: The states of Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and North Dakota are considered remote locations by AmeriCorps*NCCC based on the minimal amount of service that is available in these states. Question 3: What do you mean by "Enhanced"? Answer 3: Dependable voice mail system and call waiting service is considered enhanced by AmeriCorps*NCCC. Question 4: Will you need additional phones other than the ones already in use? Answer 4: Yes, additional phones will be needed for Team Leaders when deployed to a disaster site. Question 5: Do you want an additional plan just for disasters? Answer 5: No, an additional plan just for disasters is not necessary. Disaster phones should be provided at no additional cost. Phones should be shipped and signed for by a staff member before deployment and returned to vendor at the end of deployment. Question 6: Are the "disaster phones" you refer to, satellite phones? Answer 6: Disaster phones are not required to be satellite phones. The disaster phones can be the regular cell phone that individuals typically have for personal use. Question 7: Are you expecting A*NCCC to have possession of these "disaster phones" year round only to be used in national disasters? Answer 7: Disaster phones will be requested for prior to deployment to the disaster sites and returned after the deployment is over--A*NCCC will not keep disaster phones year round.
