- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of Solid Waste Removal Services for the inmate population at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, Chicago, Illinois. The contractor shall provide trash removal services to include pick-up, haul and relocate trash produced by the Metropolitan Correctional Center, Chicago, Illinois. Estimated yearly contract requirements will include: Rental fee for (8) 1.5 cubic yard trash pick up dock carts and (1) 2 cubic yard trash pick up dock carts. Estimated pulls per different size of container will be 312 pulls per year for the base year and four (4) option years. The award will be made to the responsible contractor who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price, indefinite-delivery, requirements? type contract. The contract period shall consist of a 12-month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be available on or about February 22, 2006 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about March 21, 2006. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 562111. The solicitation is unrestricted. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
