Description

PURPOSE: It is expected that the successful installation of the ICT systems would enhance the capacity for FSCB to manage, implement, and monitor the PSNP. Specifically, this installation will help improve the communications capacities within the FSCB. It will also help the FSCB have the capacity to accurately capture and exchange data between federal, regional, and woreda levels. SCOPE OF WORK: This project will be implemented at the FSCB head offices located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A needs assessment for a FSCB ICT systems upgrade has been conducted and completed by USAID Ethiopia ALT and USAID/REDSO in Kenya (Report of this assessment is included). The building has a functional LAN; and this implementation will address the following aspects: • Identification of any non-functioning components of the existing LAN • Repair and replacements of the non working parts of the LAN • Installation of a new office telephone exchange • Procurement and installation of new ICT equipment and software • Establishment of a new FSCB office email communication system • Training of users in office desktop applications.
