- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center has an UNRESTRICTED requirement for hull inspection and maintenance of the Research Vessel KAHO. The KAHO is located in Oswego, New York. It was built in Toledo, OH in 1961 and has been used for fishery research only on the Great Lakes. Propulsion is provided by two diesel engines. Site tours are currently scheduled for February 22, 2006 and March 2, 2006. See solcitation for possible additional site tours. The Government is requiring that proposals provide firm fixed pricing for Line Items 0001AA, 0001AB, and Options Lines Items 0002AA through 0001AD. It is in the best interest of the vendor to attend a site tour. Vendors interested in attending a site tour shall contact either Captain Ed Taber (315)343-3951 x13 or email etaber@usgs.gov OR Mr. Terry Lewchainin (315)343-3951 x14 or email tlewchanin@usgs.gov. The Statement of Work shall be included in Solicitation 06ERSS0016. The KAHO shall depart from Oswego, NY for the shipyard on June 11, weather permitting. All repairs must be completed in order for the KAHO to leave the shipyard and arrive back in Oswego, NY no later than July 21, 2006. Solicitation 06ERSS0016 is scheduled to be available on or about February 21, 2006 and can be obtain at the following websites: www.fedbizops.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
