Description: This synopsis is modified to incorporate the following language: In accordance with Public Law 109-115 (119 STAT. 2506, Section 842), CMS will be developing Most Efficient Organization (MEOs) utilizing the Streamlined Methodology for both the Infrastructure and Network Connectivity and Security Policy and Assessment functions. CMS has waived the 45-day extension option when developing the two MEOs.Upon completion of the study, CMS will make a formal public announcement of the performance decision, which is whether to contract this work out or not. There is no request for proposals (RFP) to be issued. The outcome of the Streamlined study shall be determined, in part, by using documented market research.
