Description
Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA anticipates issuing an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to purchase a minimum of seven and a maximum of 20 infrared surveillance camera/sensor systems from Electrophysics Corporation, Fairfield New Jersey. The camera/sensor systems will be incorporated into an advanced technology demonstration model of the Distributed Ground-based Threat Detection System (DGTDS). Electrophysics Corporation is the original source of the systems incorporated into the DGTDS demonstration model. Currently the DGTDS is being upgraded from two nodes to four, with a plan to go to six nodes. The infrared surveillance camera/sensor systems purchased for these upgrades must be identical to those already incorporated into the existing technology demonstration model. Electrophysics Corporation is the only known manufacturer of the required systems. The government anticipates award of an IDIQ contract with an ordering period of two years. Camera/sensor systems will be delivered FOB destination to China Lake, CA. A standard commercial warranty is required. The government desires a warranty for both parts and labor for a period of at least one year. Other interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the point of contact identified above, no later than 9 March 06. Information must be submitted in accordance with Note 22 and must include a capability statement addressing proposed hardware and it's compliance with each technical specification described in the solicitation, which may be requested from the contract specialist. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items.
