- Washington Savannah River Company (WSRC), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the U.S. Department of Energy, is soliciting expressions of interest from companies wishing to license or enter into a Funds-In Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) to further develop the Rotary Filtration System. Engineers at the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) have modified a commercially available rotary microfilter. These improvements are designed to simplify the ability to clean and maintain the filter. All wear items, including the mechanical seals, bushing and filter disks are removed as a single assembly thereby allowing a rapid replacement or cleaning of the filters and reducing filter down-time. Any company interested in licensing this device or participating in a Funds-In CRADA must respond with a letter of interest (may be submitted by email) no later than March 27, 2006, summarizing the company?s business and technical expertise and motivation for pursuing this opportunity.
