- Washington Savannah River Company (WSRC), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the U.S. Department of Energy, is soliciting expressions of interest from companies wishing to license specific technology. Engineers at the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) have developed a Liquid Level Detection Conductivity Probe. The design can be mounted inside a pipe, in a sump, in a drum or in a tank. It reliably provides liquid level indication without necessitating process vessel modifications. The probe can be used for leak detection, liquid level detection and as an interface detector in applications where two fluids with different electrical conduction properties are on top of each other. Any company interested in licensing this device must respond with a letter of interest (may be submitted by email) no later March 27, 2006, summarizing the company?s business and technical expertise and motivation for pursuing this opportunity.
