Description
SIR Description: In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS), the Western Pacific Region hereby publicly announces that it intends to solicit a Request for Offer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 541330 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of a government furnished 180KW Kohler E/G at the Mt. Laguna ARSR. The Contractor shall also install an intake and exhaust louver, wall thimble, fuel piping, remote monitoring equipment and other material and equipment in strict accordance with the specifications and construction drawings. Work includes but is not limited to: the removal or de-install of existing equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited too an 175 kW E/G and its associated hardware. Prior to the existing engine generator being taken out of service in the process of replacing it, a portable engine generator (175 kW) open transition transfer switch, temporary panel and temporary cables must be on site and temporarily connected to the essential load(s). This Generator must be automatic start (automatic transfer and automatic retransfer) and include a temporary fuel tank filled to capacity with enough fuel to power the existing facility loads for at least 60 hours. Request for a Solicitation package must identify the solicitation number and must be requested via facsimile (310) 725-6843 or (310) 725-6842. VERBAL OR TELEPHONIC REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED, however, if you have questions contact Mr. Brian Edwards at (310) 725-7545. A request for a solicitation package must be received no later than March 2nd, 2006. Any request for a solicitation received after this date, regardless of how transmitted, will not be honored. Award will be based on "best value" to the FAA giving consideration to: 1) Total Cost to the FAA, 2) specialized experience with same or similar work, and 3) Past Performance. The solicitation for this project will not be issued until the closing date of this announcement to ensure equal response time. The FAA may make an award without communications or negotiation; however, communications and/or negotiations may be conducted to determine the best value to the FAA.
