- Description
- Concerns having the ability to furnish the services and supplies described herein are requested to give written notification (including telephone number for a point of contact) to the procurement office above within 15 days from the data of this synopsis. The U.S. Geological Survey, GD, CICT, Denver, CO has a requirement for a Perkin Elmer ICP-MS Speciation kit with HPLC, with Chomera software, and supplemental arsenic speciation kit. The system must have the capability to be run in a routine, fully-automated fashion on the existing USGS owned PerkinElmer ELAN ICP.-MS system and its proprietary instrument control software. Based on the information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), implemented by FAR 5.30201, the Government considers this equipment as a sole source from Perkin Elmer, 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT and proposes to negotiate a purchase order with that fir on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required equipment are invited to submit in writing an affirmative reponse to this announcement, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitie opportunities exist. Since no solicitaiton document exists, requiests for such documentation without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further condsideration. This notice may represent the Government's only official notice of this procurment. The HPLC system needs to meet the following requirements: Capable of quaternary gradient capability without the use of an external dynamic mixer (i.e., the thorough mixing of up to four solvents must be able to be carried out within the same pump). Able to be controlled manually for multiple gradient solvent programs and run multiple programs sequentially, including rinseout and shutdown. compatible with existing TotalChrom chromatography software (version 6.2, PerkinElmer, Inc.) that is utilized on the Finnigan Element HR-ICP-MS system for chromatographic calculations and to control the HPLC pumping system. Able to be programmed for solvent gradients and controlled via the existing USGS owned ICP-MS operating software (PerkinElmer ELAN ICP-MS software version 3.3) including two-way computer triggering for automatic system shutdown and any software add-ons to provide real-time identification and quantification of chromatographic peaks using a single computer. Compensate for solvent shrinkage that occurs when mixing different volumes of different solvents and for solvent compressibility. Provide accurate flow from 0.01 to 10.0 mL/min in increments of 0.01 mL/min from 0 to 0.99 mL/min and 0.1 mL/min for I to 10 mL/min, respectively.
