Naics Code: 335999 The government intends to award on a sole source to Meggitt Defense Systems Caswell, 2540 2nd Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418-3412 for the procurement of target and range control equipment to replace worn-out, damaged or beyond repair equipment that currently exists at various Marine Corps installations. The replacement equipment must have the same physical and electrical characteristics and software interface capabilities as currently exist on these ranges. The equipment for procurement is the RangeMaster 9000 and associate Range Interface Adapter (E14-8), Stationary Infantry Targets of the AA8, AA9 and AA10 target types, RZ4 Hand-held radio controller, DTX-154 Data Radio narrow band and associated cable harness assembly (P/N 20-3068). All of the above equipment shall be interchangeable with the existing range equipment whereby using the same software and firmware code to control the targets. Replacement of this equipment shall not affect other range related equipment on the existing ranges. Changing out these targets shall require only minor physical changes to the existing electrical and range control interface connections and the reprogramming of the targets shall be performed using existing programming kits available at the various Marine Corps installations. The award will be approximately $225,000 with an anticipated delivery date of 30 days after contract award. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days after publication of this notice, the US Government intends to award a sole source contract to Meggitt Defense Systems Caswell.
