- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Region, has a requirement to accomplish repair and preservation work of the MALSR MASTS & BRIDGES, in WILKES-BARRE, PA. Requirements include installation of new foundations for Mast 11, excavating each side of existing foundation as Mast 12 for installation of steel rods with clevises for connection to two new back longitudial guys for Mast 13; tightening/replacement of bolt as Mast 14; patching cracks, spalls & other concrete defects of the mast footings; preservation of guy ground anchors by appliation of coating material to any bare steel guy anchorage in contact/near contract with the existing ground surface; cleaning and removal of trees and brush from around masts & guys; checking of the existing guy tension as all masts and if required modify the tension force in the guys; installation of new longitudinal guys at the base of Mast 11 to top of Mast 12 and the base of Mast 12 to the top of Mast 13; temporary excavation of support & protections systems for work on Masts 11, 12, and 13 and earthwork for excavation for Mast 11, 12 and 13.
