Description

The purpose of this amendment is to provide clarifications based on questions from industry regarding the technical specifications. Therefore, the solicitation is amended as follows: 1. Question: The solicitation states that "The system shall include at least one analog input channel for auxiliary signals." If a system does not include a specific analog input channel for auxiliary signals, but does have other auxiliary signals, such as pressure, that could be used as analog inputs, will this satisfy the stated requirement? Answer: The minimum requirements include at least one analog input channel. Modifications or suggested optional uses of system components will be considered, however, they must still allow the device to meet all minimum requirements. 2. Question: The solicitation states that "strongest consideration shall be given to ... a device which simulates respiratory events such as coughing and sneezing." Is it acceptable that the cough or sneeze occur during each repeat of the waveform? Answer: A repeated coughing or sneezing event during continuous breathing is acceptable. 3. The response date for this solicitation remains unchanged. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (27-FEB-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
